SOMA’s Story
Kalli Kaitatzis is the director of SOMA Physiotherapy & Pilates. Kalli completed her bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) at the University of South Australia. She worked as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist where she gained her passion for Clinical Pilates and its effectiveness in treating musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. In 2014, Kalli completed a Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University.
Kalli has gained a deep appreciation for Clinical Pilates and its essential role in reducing pain / discomfort and the restoration of movement. She highly enjoys working with clients with any MSK concerns. Kalli has experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of MSK discomfort for those with a wide range of limitations and disabilities. Her greatest enjoyment is seeing her clients return to optimal movement and continue in a lifestyle of exercise and well-being.
Kalli’s past and current mentors have left indelible prints in her philosophy of rehabilitation and she carries a wealth of knowledge in her assessment and treatments. She has special interests in neck, thoracic, lower back and Sacroiliac Joint (SIJ) conditions. Kalli has extensive training in the field of Women’s Health & Pelvic Floor control and is able to help you with problems such as pelvic instability and incontinence.
SOMA’s main objective is to promote in the Gold Coast community a pro-active lifestyle of health and well-being through its energetic, challenging and social SOMA-Mat, SOMA-Exercise-Physiology and Clinical Pilates Classes. SOMA demonstrates a balance of community and professionalism by providing effective individualised care in Gold Coast Community Centres, client’s homes and SOMA’s very own private clinic.
